The American Freedom Train in San Francisco, California

The train displayed on the Presidio.

Locomotive #4449 was spotted at Aquatic Park, near the Embarcadero. Late one night, someone noticed the heavy locomotive was listing toward the water. It was quickly moved!

While in San Francisco, Bing Crosby and his wife Kathryn visited the train. The crooner's Gold Record for White Christmas was on display in the Preforming Arts car.

San Francisco was later the site of the 1980 American Freedom Train Crew Reunion.
