The 610 was restored specifically to pull the AFT.

The 610 pulled the train only in Texas.

American Freedom Train 610 T&P 2-10-4  
 

After serving on the AFT and then in excursion service with the Southern Railway, #610 found its permanent home in Palastine, TX at the Texas State Railroad.

It was returned to T&P livery shortly thereafter.
