American Railfan Weekend 2001

For its 610 American Railfan Weekend (March 2&3, 2001) the North Texas Chapter of the NRHS pulled out all the stops to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the restoration of #610 and the American Freedom Train.

Access badges were made for participants -- two of which are shown at right.

Activities included a banquet, steam excursion at the Texas State Railroad, BBQ with #610, and a slideshow by Steve Goen featuring some of the finest photography of the 610 ever seen.

Skip Waters was the Master of Ceremonies.
