Several comic books tied themselves to the Freedom Train including Joe Palooka and Captain Marvel Adventures.

Shelby Bicycles ran an ad in Joe Palooka, while Kellogg's Pep cereal offered a mail-away "comic" simply titled "Freedom Train".

As recently as 1974, DC Comics retold the mission of the 1947 Freedom Train in No 113 in October of that year.

Further into the comic book, the story The Case of the Patriotic Crimes was told. The Liberty Train on Earth-2 is stolen and the Justice Society must retrieve it. Seems Black Canary and Harlequin do most of the heavy lifting in this tale.
