The reunion
was hosted by the McCullough family. Their late patriach Jim McCullough
had been one of the guards and his daughter Sherry and wife Jean
have been instrumental in keeping the guards in contact with one
another the last several years.
The train's
#1 fan -- George Barker -- and his brother Ed were there with some
of George's vast collection of Freedom Train memorabilia -- and
a special t-shirt made for the occasion.
Mary Jayne Rowe
and an unidentified gentleman (John Rowe?) were there with a commemorative
postal cancel and hats (third image).
Larry &
Johnnie Taylor brought their original Fogg
painting to share (bottom image).
Todd & Linda
Schannuth flew in for a day.
(Editor's note:
You will not want for good food or hospitality at the McCullough
place.)
