Jeff started
modeling the train in HO scale in early 2011. The train will be
as he saw it at age 4 in Rochester, NY in 1975.

In
this 'before' shot, the basis of his first flatcar and loads can
be seen -- an 85' Athearn Pacific Fruit Express flat car, two Athearn
20' intermodal containers, a rather modern forklift by Wiking, and
a Chevy Blazer by Trident.

|
|
|
The
Blazer was the first piece painted and decaled. The forklift took
considerable altering to create the forklift used in 1975. Many
details were added to the containers to create two of the AFT's
ten wagons.

The
finished car. Note the prototypical antenna on the roof at the tail
end of the car! A nice touch.
